I have an older Advantage II stove. Every once in a while the convection fan (blower fan) cuts off for no apparent reason and then restarts after about 10 minutes. I was wondering if there is a fan motor safety overheat sensor on the fan that might cause this. Has anyone had a similar problem and if so what did you do to fix it? Thanks.

Convection fans need to be cleaned and oiled at least every two to three years. This means removing the fan from the stove and using a air compressor to blow out all the dust, pet hair, etc. from the impeller blades from there you need to use one drop of high heat electric motor oil into each oil port one will be found at the front and the back of the motor, if this is not done then eventually the convection motor will have to work harder to run and with no oil it will dry up and over heat thus shutting down until it cools off.
