We are in the process of taking the VistaflameVF100 FS out of our shop and installing it in our dinning room/familyroom. Is it possible to put a thermostat on this stove.

I put the stove in my shop in 04 and used 6 bags of pellets in 4 years. LP Gas has gone too high so i thought that this stove would work better in the house.

The age of the stove and the kind control panel that came with the stove will determine weather or not the stove will work as a on / off or high / low operation if the stove is using a solid state controls it is high / low and if it is using a PC board then it will operate as a on / off remember that using a thermostat will reduce the life of your igniter by 35% and most likely increase your ash build up in the firebox and chimney which means more cleaning...efficiency on stoves using a thermostat is reduced during start up. The connections for the UL thermostat wire are located on the back of the control board and be sure to use a 24v (low voltage) thermostat and do not use more then 20' of wire
