Hello all.
I am new here and also I am the 1st to have Stove. Move in to new house Pellet stove already install name Yankee/Lopi with out manual and no experience about stove, It take 2 week to figureouthow it work, It burn now but some time stove explose smoke out the house we have kids playing around living room..
My question are
If I set heat out put high seem to burn OK, but the tray been fillup quickly pellet not burn out completely for 30minute and start smoking.
If I set Mid or Low pellet still drop in to hoper (tray) and fill up some timelucky I get it burn some time it not
I been slearn stove almost every day in ans out.
Glass building alot ash.
Some expert or anyone has Idea?

Using your damper increase the air going to the burn grate. The flame should be a brisk bright yellow flame with a small amount of fuel in the grate and every time you adjust the fuel feed you need to increase or decrease the air going to the burn grate if there is soot accumliating on the glass then you are not giving the pellets in the burn grate enough air...remember when you adjust the fuel or air damper on a pellet stove you will not see a big difference on the burn for at least 45 to 60 minutes so don't start changing adjustment just becasue you don't see a change. Also, make sure that the pellet vent and combustion fan duct system is clean this will also hamper the operation of the stove if it is restricting the draft.
